Ingredients

  • 6 boneless pork chops
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 medium potatoes peeled and thinly sliced
  • 1 packet French onion soup mix
  • 1 can cream of onion soup
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • Season both sides of the pork chops generously with salt and pepper to taste.
  • Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat until shimmering.
  • Add the seasoned pork chops to the heated skillet and brown thoroughly on both sides. Remove from heat and set aside.
  • Arrange the thinly sliced potatoes in an even layer on the bottom of a 9x13 inch baking dish.
  • Place the browned pork chops on top of the potato layer.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the milk, French onion soup mix, and cream of onion soup, whisking until well blended.
  • Pour the soup mixture evenly over the pork chops and potatoes.
  • Bake for 1 hour. Allow to cool slightly before serving.
